Here’s a look at some of my favorite things we’ve purchased or given as gifts recently.
Pan Am Board Game
Pan Am is a board game for 2-4 players, set in the golden age of aviation. Players compete to build an air travel empire by expanding their routes, buying new planes, and acquiring stock in Pan Am. If you love Ticket to Ride – this is a great choice.
The game is played over 5 rounds and then the player with the most points wins the game.
The game ends after 5 rounds, and the player with the most points wins.
The theme of Pan Am is well-implemented, and the game’s artwork is beautiful. The components are also of high quality, and the game is easy to set up and play.
Overall, I would highly recommend Pan Am; it’s a well-designed game with a lot to offer, and it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
CarePod Humidifier
We desperately need a humidifier in the winter, but we kept throwing them out after one season. You know the drill – icky filters, gross colors, and weird smells. But there are SO many benefits and reasons why people need humidifiers, like:

CRU Kafe Nespresso Pods
By now, you likely know that I am a coffeeholic who is picky about my at-home coffee. I try to only drink organic coffee at home. Additionally, if it is decaffeinated, I am looking for beans that went through the Swiss water treatment rather than chemicals. I finally found some that I love!

Nespresso Pod Recycler
Now that I buy a lot of these pods, I wanted to be able to recycle them. I bought this handy little pod recycler.
Drinking pods has made me feel guilty in the past because of the waste. In the UK, you are able to mail in used pods and have them recycled. But I haven’t found something like that in the U.S. So I bought this 🙂
To use it: You put the used aluminum coffee capsule on the middle opening, the capsule face down. Cover with the lid and press down and the coffee grounds get separated from the pod. Then rinse and recycle the capsule. Plus now you can use the coffee beans for something else – like your garden or compost.
Dog Doorbell
You might be aware of the “talking dog” movement. It’s a form of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) that allows dogs to communicate using buttons. While I *love* the Instagram videos (shoutout to @hunger4words) we aren’t doing this at home.
However, after we installed a new backdoor, and the dogs started tapping (scratching, really) at it to be let out – we knew we had to do something. So we found a dog doorbell instead and within a few days all the dogs knew to push the button if they needed to go outside.
